NEW THIS YEAR! — We will have electricity available for each booth (limited to 300 watts per booth). We highly encourage the use of energy efficient spiral flourescent bulbs.

We invite your application to a 3-day outdoor art fair. It will be held in the historic Longview Farm retail area in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This is a Fine Art Fair sponsored by New Longview Foundation, Summit Art, and Gale Communities. Painting: Work in this category includes creation of an image on a flat surface using oils, watercolors, or acrylics.

Fiber: All work crafted from fibers such as basketry, embroidery, weaving, leatherwork, tapestry, and papermaking is included in this category. No machine-tooling, machine-screened patterns or miscellaneous forms of mass production are permitted. No factory-produced wearable items, regardless of additional modification or enhancement by the artist, may be exhibited.

Photography: Images must be from original negatives or digital files that the artist has created and processed. Production of prints must be directly supervised by the artist.  Photographers are required to disclose both creative and printing processes. 

Sculpture: Three-dimensional original work done in any medium will be considered.

Drawing: This category includes drawings made with pencil, crayon, ink, charcoal, and a variety of other marking media. 

Glass: Glass work, either functional or decorative, and kiln-formed or created by glass-blowing, molding or casting may be entered in this category. Work may be etched or engraved.  No mass produced items are permitted in this category.

Ceramics: All original clay work, either functional or decorative, made by shaping and then firing, is entered in this category. If multiple pieces of the same design are displayed, the artist must sign each piece. No machine-made or mass-produced work is permitted. 

Jewelry: All jewelry, whether the work is produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials, must be entered in this category. No commercial casts, molds, production studio work*, or single strand beading will be allowed. 

Mixed media: Included in this category is two or three-dimensional work that incorporates more than one type of physical material, including (but not limited to) paint, pencil, watercolor, photographs, prints, or found objects.

Digital art: Original work using computer technology to craft or manipulate images must be properly signed and numbered as a limited edition. (Traditional photographs taken through a digital medium should apply in the photography category.)

Furniture: Unique, original, handcrafted items, either functional or decorative, are included in this category.

Metal: Decorative, functional, or sculptural metal artwork created by forging, twisting, or fabricating of various metals is included in this category.

Pastels: This category includes work using dry or oil pastels.

Jerry Brown - Best of Show 08Jury Process

The application jury committee consists of experienced artists using a well-defined scoring system. Show Awards Judges are professional artists from the metro area.

Fees
> $25 Non-Refundable Jury Fee (REQUIRED for each medium submitted)
> $245 for 10' x 10'
> $475 for 10' x 20'
> $75 added fee for corner space (limited availability—apply early)
 

Important Dates
> Application deadline: July 14
> Notifications sent: July 28
> Last day for payment on Zapplication after acceptance: August 18
> Last day for cancellation with booth refund: August 25

Awards

There will be monetary awards totalling $1500.
